Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
In the office, we call it ‘muscle scraping.’ IASTM detects and treats myofascial dysfunction. This technique uses a specially designed tool to relieve pain from soft tissue injuries, improve blood flow, and improve healing. The goal is to trigger an inflammatory healing response to stimulate production of new collagen and promote proper, functional, and pain-free healing.

Cupping
Cupping is an ancient practice that involves placing special cups on the skin to create suction. Negative pressure is generated in the cup and causes the suction to draw up blood in the area to alleviate muscle tension, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation.
-
Kinesio Taping
Taping is used to aid muscle movement. It is a thin, flexible tape that is used in specific patterns to relieve pain, reduce swelling and inflammation, and provide support to joints and muscles. This modality facilitates the body's natural healing power to help alleviate discomfort and treat a variety of conditions.

Medical Massage
Research strongly suggests massage is a safe, evidence-based therapeutic modality that benefits multiple conditions and/or injuries. Massage Therapists loosen the stubborn muscles allowing your Chiropractor to adjust more effectively and with ease. This allows for longer lasting benefits because the muscular and skeletal systems are able to work together in unison.
For your convenience, Dr. Danyelle works directly with multiple massage therapists at Tranquil Touch Wellness Center because she believes in collaborative care. Online booking is available through their website.
